Introduction:

The Camaro is one of Chevrolet's most recognizable and prestigious cars.

The Beggining:

The Camaro was first intorduced in September 1966 as a direct competitor to the Ford Mustang. When it was first unveild it was called "a small vicious animal that eats Mustangs". The first Camaro's were rear wheel drive, two doors with seating for 2 + 2, and was available in either a convertible or coupe. It had six different engines that you could choose from. This car is the one which inspired the creation of the 5th gerneation Camaro which was featured in Transformers.

The Present:

Chevrolet currently produces a 5th generation Camaro. This is the most recent model available. Currently it is only available in a coupe, but Chevrolet is working on making a convertible model available to the public. There are five differnt versions that you can choose from LS, 1LT, 2LT, 1SS, and 2SS. Although this is a sports car it is fairly priced. The LS model starts at a reasonable $26,995 but if you choose to go with one of the high versions such as the 2SS it can get as high as $46,800. This car is ment to feel like it did when the first generation was first unveiled, but is nicely packaged with modern technology to give it a sleek new look.
